Form Factor Prediction Based on Ship Model Test Data by Statistical Method

چکیده

Abstract The ship model resistance test is carried out on the towing tank with a certain scale to get total coefficient of model. value ship’s form factor needed in extrapolation calculations and full-scale ship. can be obtained using traditional method, namely testing Froude Number between 0.1 – 0.2. This method known as Prohaska method. Another or more modern use multiple linear regression statistics based test. We used data from 41 displacement tests conducted at Hydrodynamics Technology Laboratory (LTH)-National Agency for Research & Innovation (BRIN). Data processing done through statistical software OLS Robust which was previously by transforming predictor variables enlarge variety so that good equation obtained. resulting useful tool predicting Effective Power value.
